Chloƫ Grace Moretz admits getting support from Victoria Beckham "means a lot".
The 19-year-old actress - who is dating the fashion designer's 17-year-old son, Brooklyn Beckham - hit out at social media trolls in a Twitter rant in June and quickly received a message of praise from the former Spice Girls singer.
The message stated: "We have been through a hundred different things and people will spin you a hundred different ways, but just keep your head up, because you're beautiful the way you are. And these are just unhappy people."
The 5th Wave actress admitted she and Brooklyn often laugh about the rumours reported about them and the aspiring photographer even texted his month to joke they were getting married after it was claimed he'd popped the question.
She told Britain's Glamour magazine: "Sometimes, we'll just look at each other and laugh.
"Like the other day, when I said, 'Apparently we're engaged', and he took a picture of the 'ring' and sent it to his mum saying, 'The rumours are true!.' "
But Chloƫ admitted it can be frustrating when people try and define her just by her relationship .
She admitted: "Seriously, you don't know how often I'm just described as 'his girlfriend. And you think, 'Well, I've also been acting for 13 years, but don't worry.' "
In her rant in June, the Carrie actress slammed people who "hide behind computer screens" and make hurtful comments.
She posted: "When will people hiding behind computer screens get tired of calling someone "fat" or "masculine" - does it make you feel good typing your hateful comments ?
"Does it fulfill you in some dark way? ... Sit back before you fire away commenting ignorant things and imagine the real HUMAN BEING you are commenting about ... He or she is a PERSON, with feelings and thoughts and a life that you are affecting so negatively ...
"I've spent my whole life in front of cameras growing up with miscellaneous people judging and critiquing every little thing about myself and it's time we all stop hiding behind keyboards pretending we know even the smallest thing about the people we judge. (sic)"
