Spider-Man star Tom Holland slings his best pal a job as his side-kick
The man behind Peter Parker's mask trusted his Spidey senses and made his bezzie his assistant
Spider-Man actor Tom Holland says he is keeping his feet on the ground in Hollywood - by employing his best friend Harrison Osterfield as his assistant.
The 20-year-old British actor is currently filming the new superhero movie in America.
Referring to a fellow Superhero actor, Tom said: “Chris Hemsworth gave me some great advice.
“Once I got cast he sent me a really lovely email about just make sure you keep your feet on the ground and you don’t let this affect you.
“You keep your family and your friends close and that’s exactly what I’ve done.
“That is why I have brought my best friend with me as my assistant - that is Harrison.
“He is my best buddy really, but don’t tell Marvel.”
Harrison Osterfield and Tom have been friends since they were kids and online videos show them slapping each other with mackerel they caught fishing as youngsters
A source said: “Film bosses didn’t want him to get lonely or stressed in the role so having Harrison alongside Tom seemed a good idea.”
Tom also says that has loved playing Peter Parker so much he is even doing his own stunts on his solo movie.
Holland added: “We have done some fun stuff. I’m in a lot of pain right now.
“I think everything I shot last week I was upside down. I did do the flip into the room.
“It was pretty cool, I’m not going to lie. There was an ‘X’ on the floor and they said you really need to be on ‘X’ when you do the scene.
“I said, ‘Don’t worry, I’ll land on it.’ I’m actually not very good at landing on things but I did land on the X on that day.”
Holland’s debut in the role called Spider-Man: Homecoming is due out in July 2017.
