Seven Dead, Nine Injured In Ghastly Accident Involving Students

Some students of the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Bauchi, on Monday, survived a ghastly accident involving their bus and two other vehicles along Bauchi to Darazo road.


Reports gathered the car coming from the opposite direction in high speed, veered off its lane and collided head-on with another car moving ahead of the bus conveying the students.

News Agency reports that the 17 students survived the crash while corpses of the deceased and six of the students with minor injuries had been taken to the hospital in Bauchi.

Public Relations Officer of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Bauchi, Rilwan Suleiman, who confirmed the incident said that dangerous driving and high speed by one of the cars involved caused the accident. He added that of the 33 passengers in the three vehicles, seven died and nine were injured.
