Arsenal join West Ham United in the race for Mario Mandzukic

Arsenal are reportedly also interested in signing Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic.

According to reports from Calcio News, Premier League giants Arsenal have also joined in the race to sign West Ham United target Mario Mandzukic.

Mandzukic joined Juventus from Atletico Madrid for big money last summer but the striker was not quite able to produce his best in Turin and his record of just 13 goals in 36 appearances, serves to testify this statement.
Juventus have recently gone on to splash around £76 million to secure the services of Gonzalo Higuain from Napoli and the arrival of the Argentine superstar means that Mandzukic could well be shown the door by the Italian champions this summer.

A number of clubs would understandably be keen on signing Mandzukic and recently, the Daily Mail had claimed that Premier League outfit West Ham United are interested in the Croatian international.
The report stated that West Ham have identified Mandzukic as an alternative to Carlos Bacca and Simone Zaza, and that the Hammers would be ready to spend around £12 million in order to sign the 30-year-old.
West Ham will surely not find it easy to secure the services of Mandzukic though as it has now been revealed by Calcio News that even Arsenal are interested in signing the striker.

Arsenal are in the market to sign a new attacker at the moment but have faced frustration in their chase for the likes of Bacca and Alexandre Lacazette. As a result, the Gunners seem to be formulating contingency plans and Mandzukic has emerged recently as a potential signing for the North London giants.
German duo Wolfsburg and Borussia Dortmund have also been mentioned as interested parties in Mandzukic and it will be interesting to see where the Juventus man will end up this summer.
